Yeah, its an older game now, but I have replayed it recently (replaying it rather), prompted by Darrell dusting the cobwebs off of it via gamefly, and I must say, this could be the most enjoyable experience from a FPS on the 360. Of course, I am playing on the hardest difficulty setting for achievement points so dying every 10 seconds at certain points isn't exactly my idea of a blast, but this game is no doubt a flippin gaming masterpiece. It is better than Halo 3, BF BC, Half Life Orange Box, or any other FPS I have played this year. Love it, love it. Plus, 40 achievement points after beating a level (or series of levels). I am fearing the ferris wheel portion, because that was a beast on normal difficulty.

I take it back. I have not been as frustrated with a game in a long time as I was last night with COD4. I am in the "black hawk down" level, where I need to go in and save some soldiers who either ran out of gas or crashed. I entered a building, cleared it, and I am with my soldiers charing out of the second floor of a building to the ground, and I was stuck there for about an hour last night before I quit. I could only get so far as to get to the next building (and only a few times) before some iraqi cheaply killed me, even though I filled him full of lead. My dog was hiding under the kitchen table. I was upset. COD4 is still awesome. Just not on veteran difficulty.

I spend 3 hours on a 60 sec section of gameplay. Sitting next to a ferris wheel waiting to be picked up by a chopper. Ugh.
ACHIEVES SPUR ME ON!!! I WILL SUCCEED!

So the question is (and this should be a joint / group decision)
Gears 2 or COD WAW in November? Pick one. Other title gets pushed into Christmas gift land. That is, if I want to stay married. And I do. Divorce would be expensive.

I am always wary of someone who goes out of their way to say "Wait, I am objective!" in an article, but this seems to make some good points. However, we shall overcome, and I don't buy PC games - my laptop couldn't handle it.

Noone answered the question - is it Gears or COD for play in November? the other gets pushed until after Christmas. I forgot about left 4 dead, so that needs to be considered, as does Dead Space.

Dead Space = Oct 14 so you could easily finish that before NOV. plus it doesn't have co-op.
Gears is #1 on my list which will push l4d and COD out till christmas. I'll prolly be renting COD and l4d anyway. But i might ask for em for xmas.

That's what I was thinking. Instead of beating Castle Crashers into the ground, we should finish Gears.
